Volkswagen has unveiled at the Detroit auto show this week the USA version of the 2011 VW Passat. The Volkswagen NMS, which has been announced ages ago, has finally received a name. It will be the 2011 VW Passat, sold in the USA. The 2011 VW Passat will be sold in the USA with a choice between three engines: a 2.5L gasoline, 2.0L TDI Clean Diesel and a top of the line, powerful, 3.6L VR6.
The USA 2011 VW Passat 2.5L will have a 5-cylinder engine, developing 170 hp and 177 lb.-ft of torque and will be mated to a 5 speed manual transmission as standard, or an optional 6-speed automatic.
